Greetings and welcome to the official website of the Kappa Nu Omega chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. Thank you for visiting. I hope you find this website helpful in increasing your knowledge about our activities, programs, and service initiatives of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, through the efforts of the Kappa Nu Omega Chapter.

Kappa Nu Omega was chartered on June 29, 1975 and continues to serve Jonesboro and the surrounding communities of Northeast Arkansas. For over 47 years, the women of Kappa Nu Omega have made a dynamic impact in our communities, and we truly take to heart our organization motto of “Service to all Mankind.”

We are excited to plan and execute programs that align with our 2022-2026 Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated international programs, under the leadership of International President Dannette Anthony Reed. We look forward to seeing you as we implement community initiatives that Strengthen Our Sisterhood, Empower Our Families, Build Our Economic Wealth, Enhance Our Environment, Advocate for Social Justice, and Uplift Our Local Community. Whether it is delivering weekly weekend meals to school-aged children, waste reduction initiatives or workshops to catapult economic wealth for Black families, we serve with gracious hearts. While we have a small chapter designation, we have a huge heart for service.

A sincere thank you to our various sponsors, community organizations, and agencies that help us achieve these goals. If your group or organization is interested in sponsorship or partnership to impact our community in one of these areas, we welcome the opportunity to touch even more lives in the area.

If you are a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated and you are new to the Jonesboro area or are an inactive member looking for a chapter to reactivate and serve, we welcome you to visit Kappa Nu Omega Chapter. Our chapter meetings are typically on the third Saturday of the month, at 11:00 am.

As I close, please know that I consider this role one of the greatest acts of servitude and I do not take it lightly that I have been called upon to lead, learn from, and serve with such a great group of phenomenal women dedicated to Sisterhood and Service. To stay up to date with Kappa Nu Omega events and initiatives, you can also follow us on Instagram and Facebook @KNOmegaAKA.

 Yours in Service,
